Psychologist

Jennifer Hoy

Hi! I’m a Registered Psychologist in Calgary with a passion for connecting with people and helping clients as they navigate life’s challenges through a trusting, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic relationship. At the core of my practice are compassion, authenticity, and a genuine curiosity about your unique story. I wholeheartedly believe in your ability to create a more fulfilling and meaningful life—a life aligned with your desires—no matter the challenges you may be facing.

Through my upbringing, I learned the importance of hard work, education, and kindness, while also navigating themes of belonging, connection, and self-agency. These experiences, along with my love for international travel, have shaped my perspectives and deepened my appreciation of the diversity of worldviews and traditions, enhanced my understanding of resilience, and fostered the desirability of interconnectedness. This inspires me to approach every client with appreciation, respect, openness, and a commitment to celebrate you!

I have been privileged to spend over 14 years as a therapist, working with individuals of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. My professional journey has included work with non-profit organizations, various school systems (including post-secondary institutions), partnerships with the healthcare system, public safety and frontline personnel, and private practice.

Currently, my primary focus is supporting teens and adults navigating interpersonal, developmental, and emotional challenges rooted in trauma. My goal is to foster meaningful healing and growth in a compassionate and collaborative way. I draw upon a range of trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, thoughtfully tailoring my methods to honour and meet your unique needs.

In my role as a supervisor, I bring the same dedication and energy that I bring to my work with clients. I strive to create a safe, empowering space where growth and learning can flourish. My goal is to make the supervision process both supportive and inspiring, providing clarity and guidance as we navigate this journey together. I am committed to helping you build confidence and develop into the skilled, compassionate professional you aspire to become.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me adventuring with my dog, exploring far-off destinations, or spending quality time with friends and family. I love strength training, checking out local events around the city, and, of course, dancing with pure joy whenever the opportunity arises!

Social Worker

Jessica Donovan

Hi! I’m a Registered Social Worker that is passionate about building genuine connections with my clients and walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe that each of us carries a unique story shaped by our experiences, relationships, challenges, and the moments that have influenced who we are today. Our stories help us understand ourselves, but they do not have to define our future. We have the ability to reflect, grow, and rewrite the parts of our story that no longer serve us.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through a wide range of life experiences and challenges. As adults, we often find ourselves navigating competing demands, relationship struggles, major life transitions, parenting responsibilities, and questions about who we are and where we're headed. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and having the right support can make a meaningful difference.

I am passionate about helping adults strengthen relationships, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, manage anxiety and stress, recover from burnout, and build greater self-confidence. Whether you are navigating a significant life change, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, struggling with self-doubt, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to help. Together, we can explore your values, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, develop practical coping strategies, and help you move toward a life that feels more aligned, balanced, and fulfilling.

In addition to working with adults, I support children ages 10 and up who may be struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, friendships, self-esteem, and confidence. I help young people better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen social connections, and build confidence in themselves and their abilities. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where children feel safe, understood, and empowered to navigate the challenges of growing up. Alongside this, I also provide parenting support, helping parents strengthen their relationships with their children, navigate family challenges, and approach parenting with greater confidence and connection.

I believe that every person is unique, which is why I tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. My approach is integrative and draws from evidence-based therapies, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). These approaches allow us to explore thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns in a way that supports healing, resilience, and lasting change.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me out walking with my dogs, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with friends and family!
